Dennis Basso Sizing on TSV 12/2/16

I was wondering if someone or maybe the on air host would discuss the sizing of this coat. Does it run small, large or on target. I looked at other coats that women left reviews and it was all over the board. I guess consistency doesn't exist in his line.

I watched last evening and I think it was a competition to say that they were wearing an XXSmall or a Small. I'm tall and I don't mind the extra length as Basso did mention that the length gets longer, as the size goes up.

I guess I am going to pass as I don't want to deal with a return.

Who was the host wearing the Ivory cost in the video last night. What size was she wearing. She was tiny. I was thinking about ordering but not sure if I should get the XS or XXS.

Go to the listing and find the garment sizing and it'll show all the measurements. Find "Garment Chest" and it'll give you a pretty good idea the sizing. I love Basso coats but have found that they run a little big. I always check the sizing and order according to that. Remember that coats need more room to accommodate sweaters, etc. Good luck, it's a gorgeous coat but too much collar for me....

I own a few of the Dennis Basso coats/vests. The quality is great! The sizing in the coats is roomy to allow for most winter weight clothing. I'm a size small but on the upper end of that size. (Yes, I did check the sizing measurements) I don't wear heavy winter weight clothing so I might have fit into an xs but it would have been form fitting/snug. I think it is a personal preference if you like your outerwear to fit like a dress or a coat. I like to have room to drive or pick up a shopping bag, etc. IMO his line runs true to size with some room to move but not oversized. The fact that the hosts and models are always an xxs or xs just adds to the confustion for everyone.

I, too, have owned several of Dennis Basso's coats, and was always very happy with the quality and the fit. However, a couple of months ago, I ordered the quilted zip front jacket of his. It was a beautiful coat, but the sleeves were tight as well as across the chest and back. This is never a problem area for me. I've decided that I won't order any more coats due to the cost and inconvenience of returns.

I don't know if this helps, but they did mention the size coat Maria (dark hair) was wearing (XL) and Maria (blonde) was wearing (M).

@ccassaday that was Stacey Stauffer who was wearing the ivory coat in the 1am (EST) hour.

His coats do run generous I would click on the measurements for that particular garment and they also should have it on the screen during the presentation. I don't need another coat but I am eyeing this new coat from his line in black A285581.

Yes, that is the show that I watched. Maria with the blonde hair was wearing the Medium and Maria (dark hair) was wearing a grey and was a size 16. I am not a size 16 but am tall with a chest. I don't wear heavy sweaters because I am in so california. I thought this was not that heavy and I would definitely remove those overwhelming collars and stick with the plain collar.

I think the taupe is sold out. I don't like the white. The rest are still available but I don't want to deal with returns. I may just wait for reviews.

The issue at hand is that some say the coat runs small, others say it runs big. It could be a manufacturing issue. I have never purchased any clothing on line and it is for this reason. For QVC to have standard sizing is ridiculous because different brands run differently. Just saying.
