DG's Today's Special Velvet Pants

Is anyone buying these velvet pants? They had a matching jacket for $99.00. I thought some of the colors were pretty.

I would be interested but she does not design for my body type.  I think the price is reasonable.

@elated Thanks for posting about them.  I think they look nice!  Are you buying?  How is that brand's sizing?

The sizing on Diane's  jeans is all over the place.  I've given up.  Too expensive to return them at hsn.

I am not buying because I don't have a need for them. I heard Debbie say to buy your regular size..

My concern is them collecitng pet hair and any random piece of fuzz or liint. I probably wouldn't get enough use out of them to justify the purchase anyway, even if they didn't.

I like them but I am leery of the fit, the hip measurement seems to run a bit small. Check it carefully.  I think they also run long, the petite is a 29.5 inseam, regular is 32.

Re: DG's Today's Special Velvet Pants

They looked nice enough, but I know DG designed for her body type which is pretty much opposite of mine.  Plus, I already have a nice pair of strech velvet pull-on pants.  I've only ever worn them around Christmas.  In fact, I bought them to skate Christmas shows in since I sometimes needed a man's look, but they're nice enough for a dressy outfit.  I once got a compliment on the "fit" by one of the skate moms.

I did not watch much of the presentation at all so I didn't get to see, but one reason I generally don't like pull-on or elastic waist pants is how the waistband fabric, especially in back is obvious that it's elastic.  My pants, the waistband if flat all the way around.

Pretty but I'm not liking the fit of these.

@elated  I break out in a sweat just thinking about wearing anything velvet! I had a lovely velour top years ago and had to donate it as it was just too too hot for me.
