Curtis Stone HSN TS

[ Edited ]

How do you feel about these little machines. Today it's a Sandwich Maker in a 2 pk.

You think oh it's so handy but I feel like I would use it a few times and in the drawer it goes. I feel the same way about the Chef little waffle and pancake makers that everyone sells in a 3 pk every holiday.

I wonder if people still use this stuff or you think it's a handy purchase at the time?

I think if you live alone, have teenagers or have a busy schedule, this might be a good addition to your appliances.  I think you could create many dishes very fast witbout messing up your kitchen.

@luvmyteddy4   Not something I would buy.  Years ago when my kids were young, I remember buying the hamburger one that fit just one burger patty on it.  What a pain to clean!  The grill plate did not detach and you could never get it totally clean.  Then came along the toaster that had a side attachment that you could make/cook an egg to top to put on top of your toasted English muffin.  That, too, was used for only a short time by my family until the novelty wore off.

I'll stick with a small, easy to clean,  8 inch ceramic fry pan or the air fryer for a quick burger or egg sandwich.

Small home, small kitchen...I have no place to put it. These items are fun to try but often it's easier to pull out a skillet or whatever.

Very limited what you can do with this. I just got yesterday from Amazon a George Foreman grill about the same size. My old one was a mess. It was under $18. I use it mostly for bacon and grilled cheese. It has the stand in the back to slope it for fat to drip off. Great for hot dogs too.

I love Curtis Stone and do own some of his pans that are great.  Things like this though for me, fall into the "gadget" category.   I simply don't get it........why do people buy these things and where on earth do you store it all?   Like another poster stated I have a George Foreman grill that sits on my shelf and hardly ever gets any use.  It's too easy to just cook things in a pan!

I have been happy with everything I've bought from Curtis.   If this was already in my kitchen, it would get occasional use.  I don't need 2, and I  don't have anyone to give 1 to.  So I am passing.  If you get it, enjoy!
