Re: Curious about air fryer popularly

Is someone forcing you to buy one????   Resist if you don't want one!!!  I have had mine for several years.  Actually it was ab impulse buy and I didn't open it for months.  But when I started using it, it made a huge difference in how I cook and in my family's health.  We all love fried foods and now we can have them in a healthy way without all the fats and oils.  Food cooks faster.  We use our air fryer 3 or 4 times a week.

I own a ninja and find myself using it at least 3-4 times weekly.   It's just me now, resisted the urge for so long, took the plunge and ended up buying one for my son and my 90 year old mother.  They love theirs as well.  It's all about the individual need or want.

i think it's time to change the name of these things

nothing is being fried

its baking for the most part with moving hot air that crisps the sides and edges due to this.

i love mine ....i bake in it daily

Good point. I've always thought of an air fryer as something like a mini convection oven where food is cooked by the air moving inside it.

Excellent point.  I think they called it a "fryer" because the food comes out with crisp and crunch like it's fried and they wanted to tap into fried food lovers.  It's what got me.  I only bought it so I could "fry" fish and shrimp without the fat and oil. I didn't think I'd use it for much else.  I was wrong about that!
