Buying as is without any ad ons, will it work in the Bahamas?

Click on the Service Guide on the TSV product page to see info regarding International Calling.

It shows this info:

Dial 011 + Country Code + City Code + Telephone Number. For calls to the Bahamas, Bermuda, Canada and Dominican Republic just dial 1 + City Code + Telephone Number.

I bet you can call to the Bahamas but if you're there trying to use the phone there'd be no service.  That's the way it works in Canada.

Ok yes that makes sense. From what I read it's best to use an unlocked GSM phone. Either way I'm sure it will cost more to use it there.

Wonder if the Bhamas sells cheap throw away phones to buy & use while there.

@Mozee No. TracFone device will not work when you are located anywhere outside of the United States, Puerto Rico, Hawaii and the US Virgin Islands including, without limitation, while you are offshore or in international waters. Thanks. ^Charisse
