THere are some Cougar waterproof winter/rain boots that have a zipper.  I think they are all going to be more expensive than the TSV.

These below are my Cougar waterproof boots that I purchased about 8 years ago.  I adjusted the buckles once.  Then just slide my foot in, never having to tie, zip, or adjust.  

If you do find a pair you like, I can attest that they are fantastic winter boots!  Good luck.

@Caaareful Shopper   Thanks for your comments. They are only offering full sizes and suggest sizing up.   I'm hoping that won't be too big.

@nyc1   Yeah, I've only ever seen Cougar boots in whole sizes, never half.  I think the suggestion to size up if you're a half size is the best advice.  Better to be able to wear a good winter sock and be comfortable, than to ever feel snug in the toes.   

I'm a size 10, and bought a size 10, and they fit great with my regular socks or my bare feet.  Yes I've worn them in the rain with no socks.

@Caaareful Shopper Thanks again.   I'm a 9-1/2,  but depending on the shape of the shoe/boot,  I can be a 9.  I don't think I want to risk going down a 1/2 size,  because as you said,  I'd want to be able to wear some thicker socks.   I'm going to think about it.  I really like the black ...  but do I really need these ??????    Possibly!!!!!

I think it can be difficult to claim waterproof and have a zipper..... because it's bound to leak, right?  

But I agree-- I really have to like the shoes to go with laces... Just too dag lazy! LOL

Some waterproof boots have zippers with a gusset lining so that keeps them waterproof.

@justashopper .......No the zipper wont leak because they put the same material behind the zipper as they do the laces.  With my arthritis I cant tie very well anymore.

@Imaoldhippie  i hope you find a pair you like even better with a zip. I think a lot of brands realize people prefer the zipper. Sorry about your arthritis pain.  I have watched my mom and grandma live with the pain, too.  I imagine at some point, will, too.  :-(
