I'd like to know what happened to the original guy who was the chef/cook/smoker from Corky's who used to do these presentations. Does anybody know ?

Is this turkey or the sides any good? I’m tempted but afraid to buy it. Has anybody had it and have opinions? Thank you.

@turquoise blue

I've had their smoked poultry before and with the smoky flavor it all tastes like pork to me.

It had a strong smoky flavor and seemed to mask any other flavors.

May be a favorite for some however, we're all different.

  Last year I got my turkey from Greenberg's Smoked Turkey company in Texas. I had it sent to my kids house, since they were hosting Thanksgiving. It was absolutely delicious!! I just ordered it again.

 I had gotten it several times in the past as a gift & thought it was incredible. It's not a breast but a whole turkey, smoked to perfection.It's tender & moist. It also makes a beautiful presentation on your table if you're looking for that old fashioned vibe.

@turquoise blue   The sides are all St. Clair's sides.  Corky's teams up with St. Clair this time of year for their meal TSVs.

I've been getting the sweet potato casserole side for several years.  My family absolutely loves it!  However, I buy it separately, not with any other dish or side since the first time years ago.  We do not like any of those other sides, at all.

The boneless glazed ham in this TSV is delicious.  We had it before and loved it.  But it's just too much ham for us, so not buying this year.

Never had the turkey, and I make the best whole turkey, so not buying that turkey breast either.

But taste is very personal, so it's hard to generalize it based on what other people like or dislike.  Good luck.

Thanks for the tip! I just ordered a 5 pound Turkey! Price much better than Corky's and it's a whole Turkey.

Several of the larger turkeys are already sold out for the season!

I ordered the ham for Christmas. I have ordered both the ham and Turkey the last several years and was satisfied. There won't be any waste with the ham because it is so versatile, plus I used my 20% off coupon that I received recently. In the past I have tried the Mac and cheese and stuffing and no one like them , it is better to make my own sides.

We’ve had this and enjoyed. However, a smoked turkey is very different from a traditional roasted turkey. If you’re expecting a roasted bird like you would traditionally see at Thanksgiving, you will probably be disappointed.
