I am watching Meredith demo the mandoline. First thought, you can buy a pretty good manual mandoline for well under $50 and it takes up less space than the electric one shown. The Cooks Essentals shute is small so you would have to cut up most vegetables before putting in the shute. Lastly, Meredith is pushing very hard to get a good result, her fingers are turning white. I think I will pass on this gadget.
