I just read the reviews on the Calista hot rollers and the negative reviews are twice the amount of the positive ones. I wonder why they're a TSV if they bombed when sold before.
Maybe there is a warehouse full of these unwanted rollers and QVC needs to move them out.
@Carmie. For me with Calista products, it's a case of....
"Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me."

Heck, I'm using sponge rollers everyday, used to use velcro rollers but I was losing alot of hair because I was pulling out instead of unrolling the curlers, the sponge rollers are inexpensive and works for me, LOL.

The reviews on the Q for this product are mostly bad. I got a set of 10 Remington rollers from Target . Theybwere inexpensive but they are my favorite the only downside is I wish it had maybe 2 more. But this is the set I always go back to.
@Bellini13back when I used to use hot rollers, I bought extra rollers for the set. As I removed a roller I would add one of those extra ones and then move on to the next roloer. Maybe you could get some extras for your machine. I think I have Conair. I know I still have that set and also a smaller travel-sized set since I would not have been without those rollers until I started getting perms.
I also still have a set of Hot Sticks. Anybody remember those? I used those on my daughter's stick straight hair for her dance recitals because those dance teachers always wanted the kids to have curly hair. I burned my fingers on those things many times.

@AinhisgNever knew straight hair ever went out of style. I'm beginning to see some more side parts vs center parts. I think side parts are more flattering on most people anyways. But I haven't been seeing a lot of curl. I like curls. That's why I get perms. But even with straight hair, including bobs, most people want volume.

Sure they do.

I loved Amy's hair when she launched the TSV. It's the best I've ever seen it. She should stick with that style. 100% better than her regular style.

Yes! For the past few months (or so), I've been using sponge/foam rollers, too!
I ran across an unopened bag of them from way, way back.
They do work well. I wear them overnight.

i think there are a lot of negative reviews because of operator error. they just need to try it a few time and find what's right for them. People try once and it doesn't look like it does on tv, so they give it a negative review. i've had good luck with her tools.

@scrapperlisa that was also my first thought. Hot rollers, really? I see they appeal to some people but I'm so over them.
