California Innovations Totes?

What does everyone think about today's TSV? I do worry about my frozen groceries melting in the Summer, but I don't think I've ever seen anyone using one of these in the grocery store. If you keep it in the car, it seems like it would be so hot from sitting in the sun.

@shoppingless

I would have no use for anything like that.

Both Trader Joe's and Whole Foods sell totes that are insulated for frozen foods or other things you want to keep cold.   I walk several blocks from the store to my apt .... stuff stays frozen (or cold).

When I lived in the suburbs and had to drive to the store - we kept a cooler in the trunk of the car for grocery shopping.

bought previous TSV set; gave 3 as gifts, kept 3. use them all the time. they are wonderful. recommend!

T-Joe's, Costco have similar bags but they are deep but not wide. I prefer that these are more flexible and useful.

I ordeeed the ones that were last year’s TSV and use them all the time and exclusively for the grocery store and the Farmer’s Market. Love them!

What I'm wondering is can you put other things in them besides foods? For instance, could I pack a few items such a few magazines or books, and especially can you put electronic devices such as a ipad in them? Wondering about the mylar liner.

If you travel I think they would be good for your cosmetics and skin care items...keep them from melting and getting ruined from the heat.

I bought their last TSV.  I am passing on this one.  I think Rachel Ray's insulated shopping bags are the best.

I have 4 or 5 but think they are larger. Bought them at Sam's several years ago for about $7 each.

If you want to use them while grocery shopping take them in the store with you. Put your frozen items in it.

I also have 6 of the smaller Sachi insulated totes.

I bought the Kikkerland set of 5 Reusable Shopping Bags with pouches. They really come in handy. Love that I can wash them since they are made out of poly.

I see they are on clearance so I should pick up another set. I don't put the bag back in the little attached pouch. I just need to cut those off. LOL!!! I just throw all of them in 1 bag in my truck organizer.

Re: California Innovations Totes?

I purchased the previooooous TSV and gave them as gifts and kept some. I think they are very nice for the $$ and the gifts were well received. They do work well. That said, I also have purchased two Lock & Lock totes (insulated) and love them. They work very well and keep the food  cold/hot longer. It depends on your budget, lenght of time you think you would need to keep the food and storage. I have one section of my truck for nothing but these storage bags for all needs.(from nursery, home projects and grocery shopping.

I think this TSV is a good deal. If I needed any I would jump on this one.
