LOVE my Bose and this price is insanely good.

I was actually tempted because the pricing is phenomenal. However, the reviews are pretty crappy, in fact I am shocked at how bad they are. I am wondering if this is why the pricing is so great. One of the main complaints would be the CD player which is one of the main reasons that I wish to purchase.

DH AND I have ALWAYS wanted one, and neither of us are very techie, so this seemed like a good way to decide whether it would be a good fit for us or not.

Looking forward to seeing whether this one actually works or not. If it does, it will be a welcome addition to our household; if not, I'll return it.

Updating my original post- I just wish I'd bought TWO. Ours has been playing night and day without a hitch (tap wood!)

I know it's not stereo, and I can tell the difference, but that's never been a big deal for me, even as a musician.

Hope those who bought them are having good listening with them!

I have had my Bose system for several years and have had no problems at all.  Don't just go by reviews; people who are not happy are the ones who usually hop to do a review.  When all is well people tend to not write a review.  And now with that Paww receiver you can listen to Amazon Music, Pandora, etc. from your phone or tablet on your Bose.  It too works great!

About your complaint that your Bose only plays one CD.  Years ago when I bought mine, I also bought the auxiliary CD player that the radio sits on.  I load it with muliple CD's and have music for a VERY long time.  In fact, I usually have to shut it down when I no longer want the music.

Maybe look into getting one of those CD players, if Bose still makes them.  I don't know whether QVC offers that add-on device.  Maybe now people are expected to get their music via streaming technology and wi-fi.

I noticed that the latest QVC offering only came in two colors.  I got mine in a sort of light-colored taupe-ivory, which has always fit in better with my decor than gray or black.

Also, I suspect that the QVC bargain-priced offering is some outdated model or has some other problems, because that price is WAY too low for any BOSE.

My thoughts exactly; they are probably doing away with this model as it is not bluetooth compatable and everything now is.  That is why they are offering the receiver that allows you to use it to play off tablets, phones, etc. The model they were selling for such a low price is probably being phased out.  My adult kids (30,s and 40,s) don't even play CD's anymore.

The price as of today was still the same as TSV.  If not, HSN has it today for same price.

Bose is still making this radio and a one with the Echo add on.

Most younger people don't buy CD's anymore, because songs are sold as tracks, and most folks have a streaming service.

LOL, I stopped buying CD's 5 years ago.

I am  another one who sent back the very next day as the CD player rattled and would not operate. I thought it might be cold so waited. There was NO packing slip and a hassle to mail back and print my return form and label and make arrangements for a fairly heavy box. I was thankful it didn't happen when out of warranty.

Now two weeks later still waiting for a replacement.  Guessing ,a month if lucky.. In hindsight should have reordered  immediately but was so disgusted and angry. I saw later there were many reviews about the CD player that was defective.  I really think Bose is not what it is touted to be and not that great any more as top of the  line!

I have one from Q 10 years ago the main CD player does not work but the axillary three slot one does. The sound in the new one on the radio which did work is better.I wanted this one in the bedroom.

I am a Tracphone user  so do  not download music. That is my experience and the worst from Q in many many years.
