I think most people would insist on Bluetooth technology in sound equipment.  I never listen to the radio any more, but play SiriusXM in the car.  We ripped ALL 350 of our old cd's onto digital storage, so we basically have no use for a cd player any more.

It took hubby a while to rip them, but actually it is doable!

I ripped most of mine too.  Not 350 but a lot. But all of the ones I thought i might listen too.  Organized them
in Playlists.  Started out using my ipod, then graduated to my ipad and iphone.  I buy new music via itunes.  Bluetooth is for me and the little BOSE wirless color speaker does the trick for me.   Actually dont know why i would need a wifi connection if I have Bluetooth.  But Bluetooth on this offer would cost me an additional $99 and i would have another little receiver sitting next to it.  Not for me.

I don't understand why this is considered new. I'm pretty sure QVC has sold this model before and I believe HSN also has it. Was it redesigned?

The box is redesigned, but subtley so.  There are a few tweaks that have been made as well.  HSN has the same item but at the BOSE price, not the TSV price.

You could buy an iPod Touch. It will run an iTunes. You should run iTunes on a computer, and  make a free radio. When you are comfortable import your CD's to IT.

I got an email for the Bose Wave Music System IV TSV that usually sells for $499.95 but will be available for $399.95. I want to buy one but don't know if I should get this. There is another model the Bose Wave SoundTouch Music System IV. This is WI-FI capable, you can stream music from the internet and I think from your other devices (iPad,etc). It sells for $599.95. I'm wondering if it's worth the extra $200 dollars or if I would be just as happy with the TSV? I'm also wondering why the drop of $100, is a new model coming out? I guess I'll wait to see it presented.

I think Bose may stop making this radio. Most music is played online with Wi-Fi today or with an app.

You have to decide how you will use the radio/CD player. I live in NJ, and there are not many music radio stations. I play Jazz radio, 88.3 from Newark, and a Smooth Jazz station 102.7 HD2 from NYC. 102.7HD2 is a Tune in radio station or you need an HD tuner.

IMHO, I would not buy a player unless you have hundreds of CD's.

You have an iPad and iPod Touch. You may want to use your Echo and Bluetooth your Apple devices.

I already own a Bose and was thinking it might nice to use it for streaming Sirius since it has such great sound.

You should contact Bose support.

My Bose came this week and I love it!  I already have a Bose ipod docking system, which sounds great.  However, I wanted a radio and cd player and finally decided to get it when the TSV was offered.  I was not interested in wifi or bluetooth.  It was so simple to install...just plug it in!

I like to listen to local over the air radio and my old radio was not cutting it anymore.  This was a nice upgrade.  Hope those of you who ordered are as thrilled as I am!
