I would seriously roast in those sheets.

I'm afraid of that exact thing!  I've tried microfiber, but I have hotflashes and the only ones that didn't cause me to heat to death are the PeachSkin ones.  These Velvet Loft or Polar Fleece would burn me up.  Even flannel gets hot halfway through the night.  I leave in south Georgia, but keep the heat low in the winter. We get 20s-40s at night and those sheets would be too hot with my hot flashes and the like.  Once I'm at that age where even 90 degree weather feels like winter, I'll get some then.

Based on reading these comments, they would be too hot for me plus can't get beyond the really bad shedding and pilling I had on one of their blankets several years ago.

I would get a couple sets of these if they had extra long twin. Bummer. They look so warm.

You may want to pay more attention to the comments from people who actually have the sheets rather than those who just think they will be hot but don't actually have them. I actually have these sheets and even though I am a person who is hot all the time, these sheets don't make me feel hot.

Also, I've been sleeping on these sheets for a year and they do not pill or shed. I have some of those "fluffy" Berkshire blankets and those definitely do shed. But the velvetsoft ones do not. These sheets are like the velvetsoft blankets.

I love my Berkshire. Don't get me wrong, Maiden Mills sheets are wonderful too, but I prefer Berkshire. I bought three different sizes last year and don't have a problem with any of the sizes staying on or fitting the mattress. We do have deep, pillowtop mattresses and maybe I got lucky. My husband is a furnace and groaned when the first set arrived. I don't understand why, but no sweating or burning up during the night. We do turn our thermostat down to 67 degrees at night. I've washed them a zillion times and they are as soft as ever. No lint or pills. I've waited all year to buy more and just bought another set (I think this is my 5th set) and the blanket/comforter. Also, my teenage boys love their Berkshire sheets and use them year round. Just hoping the quality is as good as last year.

Anyone know if the top sheet is the same back and front? I haven't seen that addressed

Speaking for the ones I got last year, the top sheet has no "wrong side". They are velvetty-soft on both sides. The fitted sheet is not--not that it matters.

Do you guys who own these do you think there is enough give where the twin would fit a extra long twin. XL Twin is five inches longer.
