I use my heated twin size blanket (luckily no Sherpa on mine) on my sofa all winter and I love it.  A 50 x 60 throw is a bit too small and only good for one person.  It would have been better, in my opinion, if it was oversized.

@Biftu.  There is a larger throw 70" in length by Kringle Express that I got a couple weeks ago, for $10 more.  It comes in Cardinals and snowflake patterns, as well as with a dog or cat theme.  More suitable for use on a bed or for a tall person.

I like that it has a 10 hour auto shut off instead of 3 hours since I plan to use it on my bed overnight.

@Kachina624  The ten hour shut off is a plus, three is too little.

lord have mercy. What could be worse than yet another Sherpa item- heated Sherpa. Wrapped in that I would steam like a huge tamale

@fairydogmother Woman LOL, I was thinking the same, but you said it in an hilarious way!  I have Berkshire throws--really huge "velvet soft" ones.  They are so warm without adding heat!

@Starliteshine I have one of those throws with the velvet  and sherpa too and love it. I don't find it sheds and I don't find it picks up "stuff" either.   OK, the sherpa isn't like it was when it was new, but it still is warm, and I like that blanket. Happy to get it out every fall.

I got the heated throw (I think I got the pink plaid).  I didn't need it, but it might be handy this winter.  If someone is sick, or watching TV and it's chilly in the house.

That said....If I try to buy ONE more Berkshire blanket, please stop me.  I have enough, even the dog has his own Snoopy style from last year.  We never put it away and it sat on the recliner all summer!

HSN has a plush to Sherpa heated throw today as their TS for 34.95. 15.00 less than QVC’s!! Kicking my self as I did buy the Qvc TSV. (Haven’t received it btw, still in processing 7 days later).

@Kazsails yes, I got the QVC one too. Maybe they're nicer than the ones on HSN, and not sure how the sizes compare.  Berkshire iproducts are pretty nice as far as I know. I think the QVC throws had better colors. I heard the HSN presenter call it "faux Sherpa" ...made me laugh. Sherpa is already faux.

EDITED to add:

I did a quick comparison of the two HSN vs. QVC....they are quite similar except QVC's are safer since they have ETL certification. and they have a 5-year warranty. I didn't see a warranty on HSN, and the colors aren't as nice.  IMHO QVC's are a better product.  HSN's are probably ok too for people who appreciate the price  or colors of those.  No telling about the feel and quality of the fabric on either.

@Sue Thank you for doing the research. I’m sure I’ll be happy with the one I got (if I ever get it) but sometimes I sure do get miffed if I miss a good deal!
