Re: Barefoot Dreams TSV

[ Edited ]

I thought the 'safe' selling tactic was a bit of a stretch.  Guess it depends on what each person's definition of 'safe' means!!

What is more ridiculous is the selling tactic of 'lady O'

has it on her favorites list....does that encourage anyone to buy???

Does the opposite for me..it is such a turn off.  That person and her "lists" are so overhyped..it is ridiculous. I do like BFD though and have 2 of their sweaters but today's TSV in my opinion isn't anything new or special plus I dislike hooded sweaters.

I am not superstitious, but I am a little stitious.

And all the talk about Malibu and the Hamptons. I really don’t care who wears what there.

The "safe" thing really did me in.  In fact, I actually couldn't believe it was said.  I've heard a lot of things on QVC in its quest to sell, but this was, in my opinion, over the top ridiculous.  That said, I bought the TSV, but I highly doubt that it will ever, and I mean ever, make me feel "safe."

Speaking of false marketing, last night the host said twice that Oprah had the

"fabrication" of the barefoot dreams sweater in PAST Oprah lists.  She was very

clear.... sorta... that this particular sweater was NOT on the list... but the FABRICATION.

However, my favorite marketing statement on QVC was when the two ladies were

describing the BREEZIES product as "yummy".
