Re: Attitudes by Reneé Dress & Cardigan TSV 3/28

Nice idea for a two piece set, but not crazy about the prints. However, most other lines at QVC would be charging that price for just the sweater...like the pricing.

Re: Attitudes by Reneé Dress & Cardigan TSV 3/28

I love all the prints but would not necessarily wear them, and I am a plus size.  But why, oh why do designers make their spring/summer wardrobe in polyester??  As someone already mentioned, I don't do polyester in warmer weather.  I know it's cheaper to use poly than cotton, but that's all I can handle during the warmer months.  Even cotton with poly feels like fur to me when the weather is blazing.  She does put a lot of creativity into her designs, but I must adstain due to the fabrication.   On another note, several years ago Renee had a small jewelry line at the Q.  The piece that I have and love is a pendant that looks like glass with small jewels inside...think it might be called "Half Full".  It's in sterling silver, and I also got the chain to wear with the pendant...also have the earrings.  This set is by far one of my very favorites.  She is a very talented designer.

I LOVE Renee's dresses, and they fit me well. I know I will wear them. I wear dresses and jackets a lot  I have plenty of black dresses, but like you @JeanLouiseFinch , I want the chili pepper jacket!

I was trying to decide on teal or blue- went with the blue because I really like it!  Smiley Happy

I bought a dress like that for a wedding last summer. I had to change before I left the house. The polyester was making me roast!

@spent2much    What is strange about it.   Am I missing something?

@IAMASTAR    Well the only fabric left would be cotton but cotton or linen dresses while maybe 'cooler" sure wouldn't be very stylish or even drape well on the body.

Re: Attitudes by Reneé Dress & Cardigan TSV 3/28

random thoughts...

I like the colors swirling in the butterfly print. And the bright blue of the cardigan.

Cardigan seems too long in the back. Two layers of hot polyester.

I'm short and fluffy. Long toppers make me look dumpy.
I have several SG liquid knit lightweight shrugs, that would look cute over this dress. And could be tied in front to give the illusion of a waist. (Which I don't have 😄).
Or even a denim jacket over the dress!

But here's the real issue for me- I don't see anyone dressing like this in my world of central Florida. Sooo casual here. This outfit would be considered dressing up, like for a wedding. Yesterday for church I worn a printed rayon midi length skirt, tank top and flip flops. A friend said Wow you're so dressed up today!
All that said, I'm still attracted to the butterfly dress.

There are some very pretty combos but I'm not sure I'll bite. I bought her 2-fer set last year (leopard print and solid black) and really like them. I wish I could find the red cardigan without the dress, to go with the black dress I already own.

Hah! And I want the butterfly print dress without the cardigan 😊

And would be a wrinkled mess. No thanks.

I wish the dress came separately.  I don't like that type of polyester cardigan/topper.

I've also never met a Renee print that I liked, but I do like that dress in the black color.    Just not enough to pay that price just to give away the cardigan.
