This TSV is is not the most recent model. That's why it's so cheap. There is nothing wrong with buying a model that is 1-2-3 prior version as long as it works well and meets the customer's expectations.

I just bought an M4 MacBook Air at an Apple store. I really like it.

Amazon has good prices on Apple products too.  I bought my grandson's and my Macbooks there.  They have their own Apple Store.

@CalminHeart I didn't know the M4 were available today - I thought an announcement would be made this week as to their availablity. I'll have to check it out since I want to upgrade my air!

I just bought the M3 version from Amazon for not much more money than this for my first Macbook. 

Be aware that this is only 8gb and 256 storage which was the standard back then.

Standard today is 16gb and 512 storage so unless you are storing practically nothing and not playing games or trying to video edit, this will work. 

If you're more advanced than that or don't want to pay the icloud storage fee, stick with the newer models.

This is definitely an outdated model.   Apple is currently selling the MacBook Air with the M3 chip. Amazon is selling the MacBook Air with the M1 chip for $514.00.
