I think the only perk from buying the dot at the Q is the easy pay and the freebies. However, I bought mine from A*mazon and will get it in 2 days. It doesn't have the bells and whistles but I don't need those. And I got an audio cable to hook it into my speaker dock and  paid $5 more but will get it in 2 days instead of the 15th or whenever the slow boat from China leaves----  :-)

Did you buy a white one? Those are listed as in stock and shipping with immediate availability. I didn't want a white one; the black ones are not back in stock until the 12th; I expect I'll get it on the 14th - Amazon is usually a day earlier than shipping estimates; I don't need it any sooner. I have a bluetooth speaker so won't need a cable.
