Re: Annette Funicello in Today's Special Value

This brings back sad memories for me.  In my teens I dated a guy that had a baby blue car like that.  We had a lot of fun in it.  He was drafted in to the Viet Nam  war even though he told them he couldn't kill.  They put him on a tank and he was killed his first day there.

@ALRATIBA.  I remember a gas war in my area when it got down to 18 cents.  Must have been about 1970.

@matty liz   lol  One of the longest stories not related to Easter that came through on my new feed today was a tale of woe about the challenges for car manufacturers and retailers.

I'd like to support QVC, but something the size of a matchbox maybe would sell well?

The Q use to sell model cars back in the day, I got some for my hubby and he still has them. I believe it was Dan who use to present those shows.

Yes!  A pink Thunderbird with black interior.

Love pink with black any thing and every thing.

Btw, the word 'thing' sounds odd to me.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

@ALRATIBA

I remember 28 gallon, I was in high school and drove mom' 67 327 Camaro. Green stamps and blue stamps. We bought a living room chair with the blue.

 This car just makes me smile and think of my Mommy.  She and my stepdad loved convertibles and both had them.  Too often though when the kids were driven anywhere, we had to ride in the Buick station wagon. Emoji
