Re: Alegria Confusion on Sizing

Ladies on the fence about sizing...there was a very similar TSV last year.  I bought a 38 as I'm a solid 8.  It was way too short.  I read reviews, and MANY complained about that.  I'd size up in this style.

I wear a 38 in many of Alegria's shoes and boots.  This style I'm not buying, but I'd take a 39.

I love the dark black/gold.  My size was gone at 5:00 a.m.  I'd have possibly ordered it.

Re: Alegria Confusion on Sizing

I ordered the black/gold in a 41... I have never worn a 10.5 in my life but based on the remarks here I'm going to size and up and see what happens.  It seems safer than sticking to my usual 40.

Re: Alegria Confusion on Sizing

I ordered the size 40 and they are out for delivery. This morning I ordered a size 41 on check hold. Hoping the ones out for delivery fit so I can cancel the size 41 and don't have to pay return charges.

Re: Alegria Confusion on Sizing

When I order shoes that have European sizing, I am betwwen two sizes.  This formula has been very successful for me:  when the shoe is closed and has a back on it, I order the smaller size, when the shoe is an open sandel without a back (i.e., Birkenstock Arizona) then i order the smaller size.  I have never gond wrong with this formula.

Re: Alegria Confusion on Sizing

They look very nice.  I like the notion that we can wear them (the darker options) in Fall/Winter with fashion and/or other socks that blend in with the shoe color.  And the strap is a bonus for comfort and style and everyday wear.

I have about 15 pair of Alegrias in sandals, clogs and boots. I wear a 7, all 15 pair I have are a 37, but I pre-ordered this TSV in a 37 and it was too tight across my foot and too short, so I would definitely size up! HTH!

I have as many pairs of Alegrias as @KingstonsMom, (probably more actually) including this TSV.  I wear a size 11, and always order a size 42 and they always fit.

Re: Alegria Confusion on Sizing

Thanks for the heads up to those trying to help!  I was able to update mine a size... Why didn't hosts  mention if you're 1/2 size, maybe size up?  They should mention it.

Hope I love them.

Re: Alegria Confusion on Sizing

i've given up on all QVC shoes because of this variation in sizes even within the same shoe company.

I do buy all my Birkenstocks on line and they ALL fit exactly the same. Have never had to return a pair.

Re: Alegria Confusion on Sizing

My confusion is... Why won't they offer to fit the size 12 ladies!!! Fitting sides-time to move to 12 & 12 wide!!!
