Affinity diamond ring last presentation for the day

I just the last presentation for the Affinity diamond ring, also watched Antonella and Peyton in the post midnight hour last evening . Debated all day about buying this ring. So, I did a live chat at the end of the presentation, to customer service. Spoke of no one, especially Peyton Kelly, the Gem specialist for QVC, to state exactly what are the SPECIFICS, for the diamonds that took over a year to produce this ring. He kept talking about the 4 c's which ALL REAL DIAMONDS, are graded by, hence the price differences. Told customer service that many Q customers are stating their disappointment that these specifics on the Affinity diamond are not stated , especially when they are asking for no small change ( money) for this buy. Well, customer service representative , Bobby responded back to me. What I was told is that AFFINITY DIAMONDS ARE NOT GRADED BY THEIR COLOR OR CLARITY, AND SO SORRY FOR THE INCONVIENCE!! Really, what a joke, I am so disappointed, might as well buy the diamonique. MJ

Did you really expect to get gemologist-graded, jeweler-quality diamonds in pieces of QVC's mass-produced jewelry? Not likely.

I was a little surprised that the "4 Cs" were mentioned at all, since they weren't applied to the TSV. It was almost like "smoke and mirrors".

The OP's last line says it all. And I agree.

I guess it would be very time consuming to grade all those little diamonds. Each ring had several.

Re: Affinity diamond ring last presentation for the day

Anyone buy diamonds from Blue Nile? I went to check their offerings and see pretty much everything around the TSV price is much smaller in size - anywhere from a fifth of a carat to a half (if you add a few hundred). No idea about their gradings, guarantees, etc.

I'm not even sure what that tells me. I do have one Affinity ring I love, but it's pave so I knew it would be tiny diamonds. I also know one of my local jewelers sells a very pretty cluster line, but for far more than either the TSV or what I just saw at Blue Nile.

I did send back a pair of earrings once - I should have known better because they had way too little diamond weight for the size of the earring Of course, what I really wanted at the time would have cost ten times the Affinity price when I went shopping locally, so I decided I just didn't want that earring at all.

If they're not willing to tell the color and clarity, it's best to stay away. It means they're afraid you won't buy it if you know that info. JMHO

Wow! unbelievable. If it's not graded like "real"diamonds, I'll pass. {#emotions_dlg.thumbdown}
