Re: A301646 TSV Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer with Living Proof and Travel Bag

Holy, Moly. $400 for a hair dryer.

Wow, I need the money for food.

My mom bought a hairdryer from JC Penny's back in the '70's.

I still have it, and it still works.

No, I won't pay $400 for a hair dryer.  For me it's ridiculous and I don't think the models hair looks any better than my hair does with my $30 Conair.  I use low heat and low fan and my hair does fine.

I have thick hair way below my shoulders, it is a combination of natural hair and tape in extension for length

Your not the only one thinking about it, I think I will purchase one eventually. My hairdressser says it really does cut down on time and causes less damage. These hairdryer posts always cause a lot of "I would never" even the ones that cost $100.

No matter how I try to rationalize the price...I just can't bring myself to buy this. It's just too expensive for me.

I love my Dyson products, and we own several - a full size ball upright, the mini upright, two hand vacuums and two heat/ cool air multipliers. We love them, we use them hard and they are worth every cent. Every single penny. Dyson customer service is even awesomely excellent!

However. . . .$400 for a hair dryer? Even a Dyson? No. No. NO!! Since Shark seems to come out with a copy of everything Dyson offers, I'll wait and see if Shark produces a less expensive version.

I kinda really need this. My hair takes hours to dry.  It's a huge drain on my time.  But $400 is not doable right now.  Yikes!

$400 really?  QVC and Dyson must think their customers are loaded and a brick shy of a load.

For that price, it better include someone to come dry my hair for me.  That's just ridiculous!  Sorry, even with all their hype, there's nothing about that thing to cause me to throw that much money out the window!  Dyson is always overpriced, but that's crazy high, even for them.  No special value there!

Re: A301646 TSV Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer with Living Proof and Travel Bag

The people that I know who own this dryer love it and think it's worth every penny.  The girl who does my hair wants one in the worst say.  The girl who is at the station next to her has one and she said it was worth every penny.

For my thin, fine poker straight hair I don't see the point.  But everyone is free to spend their dollars anyway they wish.
