Anyone willing to pay so much for lab created diamonds I say go for it! I've been reading more today about the lab created stones. First, they take an incredible amount of energy to produce (read enough to run a home for a month). Secondly, they have an odd radiance that can be detected by a specialist. Thirdly, I read there is basically NO resell market for any of these stones, graded or not.
I have many diamonds and know I can resell them, albeit not for retail or profit. I've traded them in at jewelry stores and jewelry shows. I feel like my dollars should go to something I can sell like real gold and silver and diamonds. They're asking big dollars for the TSV. I just checked and the emerald 3 carat earrings are on waitlist so someone's buying!
Hope everyone's having a good day 'cause it's Friday

First, I have better ways to spend money. Second, I have the unfortunate habit of losing earrings. I have earrings that I don’t wear out of the house because of this. I am one of those people who wears a mask to protect myself, as I am old and have a pre-existing condition. Taking a mask on and off may have contributed to this.
So I bought the JAI white topaz studs to wear outside the house. And a few pairs of the big D, along with other much lesser cost stones in earrings, pretty no less. Works for me!
Fortunately, I have never lost a ring!
I certainly get lwhat you are saying, I lost a couple of earrings while I was wearing a mask. The Jai White Topaz are very nice.

I really like lab-grown gemstones b/c you can get nearly perfect stones. I just wish someone would lab create Tanzanite! No one has done it yet that I know of.

Didn't think that they looked particularly sparkly! There should be more shine.

On camera some things that are really sparkly don't come across that way b/c they are almost too sparkly for the camera to see that. If you ever get a chance to go inside a jewelry store where they sell lab diamonds you'll see the difference compared with natural diamonds sold at similar prices. Lab diamonds are very sparkly in person.

Pass. If I buy diamonds, I want real, mined from the Earth diamonds. I'm ok with buying real diamonds I can afford. At this stage of my life, I have enough diamonds.

I thought they were pretty....but seeing them in person is a different story. They're too much for my budget. So pass on spending that amount of money.

Pass. I have plenty of 14k real diamonds that were much cheaper.
