White Christmas

-Two favorites: A Christmas Carol (1951), with Alistair Sim, and A Christmas Carol (1984), a made-for TV movie starring George C. Scott. I love the story, but don't care for the Patrick Stewart A Christmas Carol. I also don't care for any of the the Scrooged, Scrooge, Muppets, animated, or musical adaptations.
- Someone mentioned Holiday in Handcuffs. A cornball comedy for sure, but that holiday dinner table scene is priceless.
- I like a lot of the old TV movies, such as The Christmas Box, Christmas Angel and, of course, A Charlie Brown Christmas, with Vince Guaraldi's wonderful score. It's that time of year when you hear Christmas Time Is Here! And I love how the kids are depicted as decorating the scraggly tree by just waving their hands around lol.

Alot of good movies mentioned here that I also enjoy, but I wanted to add "Polar Express and Rudolph the Red Nosed Raindeer".

If you want to watch another priceless holiday dinner table scene you need to see "Santa's Slay" with Fran Drescher and James Caan. When it is on demand I will just watch the first ten minutes of the movie because it is so funny.

If you haven't watched the movie, The Firm, it is really excellent even though Tom Cruise gives me the creeps
But I have watched this movie many times.

I have Vince Guaraldi's Christmas cd and I would play it all the time when at my mother's. She liked it and it was so pretty and also relaxing and calming.

I can't imagine either but get this- I read that The Wizard of Oz book was rejected 100- times (not sure about that no) before it was finally published!
Frank Baum kept a journal of all his numerous rejections.

@PilatesLover wrote:The old black and white Dickens interpretations that have Christmas scenes in them - David Copperfield, Oliver Twist. Of course the B&W Christmas Carols (Reginald Owen or Alastair Sim as Scrooge).
And Babes in Toyland a/k/a March of the Wooden Soldiers. ♥
@PilatesLover Oh I love Babes in Toyland / March of the Wooden Soldiers. I watch that every year!
