Same here. I read the book years ago and really liked it, so I’m hoping they did a good job with the series.

It is graphic and bloody so some viewers may complain. I like it very much. And wonder if they will continue with Angel of Darkness, the sequel.

Well, my Monday nights are all set. Lucifer on at 8pm and then the Alienist on at 9pm. Watched the premier last night. It was a really good show. I like period pieces, how they solved crimes way back when, when they did not have the equipement/knowledge that they do now. The dialogue was well written and understandable. Yes, it was gorey at times. Didn't bother me, it is tv.
