"Witness for the Prosecution" TCM 6:00 p.m. Today

Most of you film fans have probably seen it multiple times, but just in case:

Charles Laughton is a curmudgeonly London lawyer who takes the case of gigolo-esque Tyrone Power, accused of murder.  Talk about twists and turns!  Fabulous cast includes Marlene Dietrich and Elsa Lanchester (Mrs. Laughton) as a funny, bossy nurse, too.

Very high entertainment value, wouldn't you agree?

Dietrich is outstanding in this one, have loved this one since I was a teen.

It’s a great movie, but please give the new one on Acorn a try.  It’s truer to the book and still full of surprises.

You intrigue me, QGirl2.  I hadn't heard of that one.  What is ACORN-- is is a movie channel or a Netflix type thing?

Great movie with a great cast. Thanks Oznell for the reminder. I'd better get my afternoon tea made. Woman Happy

I have seen this outstanding movie, a cast of the finest hard hitters- knowing their craft; nothing more I can say than `EXTRAORDINARE` !

Google Acorn and Britbox -- both are subscription tv services.

Witness for the Prosecution is one of my all-time favorite films.  You can't beat Agatha Christie for being clever.  The first time seeing this film of course is the best --- I never saw that ending coming.  Yet after many viewings over many years, the ending still blows me away.  This is really an excellent film that I never tire of seeing.
