A classic movie starring Bette Davis, Ann Sheridan, and Monty Woolley, this fits right in for the start of the holiday season. Monty Woolley is the house guest by default when he comes to town as a guest speaker and injures himself  on the front steps at the home of a prominent citizen with Bette Davis in tow as his assistant. He literally takes over the household throughout the holidays and you can imagine how deftly Bette Davis handles him. Mary Wickes is the long suffering nurse and she steals many scenes. Jimmy Durante sneaks in for a visit too! Enjoy!

Mary Wickes, like Monty Woolley, was in the Broadway show.  It was the part that brought her to Hollywood.  It was after this that Ms Wickes made Now Voyeurer with Bette Davis. In it, Ms Wickes again played a nurse.  Originally they producers wanted Cary Grant for the Monty Wooley part. Not only did Grat turned down the role. He told them that he would not even go see the movie unless Monty Wooley recreated the role in the film
