I noticed how long the trailer was, over three minutes.  These days we get seconds.  And all the hats.  I always wonder how much heat those hats kept in since ears were never covered (unless you wore a "deerstalker" like Sherlock Holmes).

First saw this as a kid in NY on "Million Dollar Movie" -- scared the pants off me!

That's an old favorite of mine along with Day of the Triffids, and Invasion of the Body Snatchers (from the original one to the remakes, which were excellent, but not quite as excellent as the original done in black and white film).

A great 50's sci fi movie.  Have seen it many times, but it is a snowy day here, so I'll be watching again!

@Oznell   This was one of my favorite horror movies growing up, so scary then, and though not scary any longer due to so many really scary movies out there, I still like watching the oldies.  I just watched The Day Mars Invaded the Earth, and now The Lost World is on.

For those who watched today, did you catch Leonard Nimoy?

His scene was perhaps a harbinger of Star Trek.

After this movie I was afraid of ants. Sure enough I walked into a red ant mound. Ran home screaming as they were biting me. My mother helped me take my pants off. Many bites especially around my ankles. Soaked in tub. Used baking soda and other powders.

But wouldn't you know -- when I was dodging that ant, I twisted my ankle and fell... screaming.  That's what I get for wearing heels while gardening.
