"I'm a chili girl myself"......that line from Barbara Rush has always stayed with me. LOL! Love the movie, and can't count the number of times I have watched it. BR was really a great supporting actress in "Magnificent Obsession" as well, along with Agnes Moorehead, one of my very favorite actresses!

I would have thought that, too, but "sources" have said that it was a "troubled" production and I don't think the critics were all that crazy about it.  Still one of my favorites.  Great cast, great music.  My kind of movie. Woman Wink

@TexasMom1,  Agnes Moorehead is another one of my favorites too!   Let's see, I guess my favorite performance of hers is the disappointed aunt in "The Magnificent Ambersons" -- I think that was a brilliant portrayal of unfulfilled yearnings, bitterness and vulnerability, all mixed together...

 

And on a less serious level, I really enjoyed her as Lauren Bacall's "frenemy" in "Dark Passage",  plus, because of the role, she got to wear chic city clothes for a change...
