I'm very much looking forward to this one.
I was almost ready to cancel TCM due to all the repeats lately.

I’m watching it right now. That little actress was terrific and Ann Sothern was a marvelous villain, acting against type. It’s a terrific film noir. I’m enjoying these movies every week.

And I'm watching my recording of it now. Love the costuming they did for Ann Sothern-- that v-neck, full length black number in that dinner party with her sister and brother-in-law. She looked gorgeous...

The synopsis reminds me a bit about a movie with Bobby Driscoll "The Window" made in 1949. The theme of kids witnessing a murder. And then the kid being caught up in the drama.
I bet I won't fall asleep watching this movie.
Great movie! Beautiful Barbara Hale played the mom.

I was surprised when Eddie Muller said that MGM copied the theme of the movie from RKO's movie, The Window. Apparently, The Window, was a hit when it was released a year before the movie, Shadow on the Wall. And MGM wanted to try and cash in on the success.

Hi @drizzellla
Didn't Eddie say something along the lines of that's what might have been assumed, but the book Shadow on theWall was based on was actually published a couple of years before The Window? At least, that's what I think I heard.
I liked his term "kid noir," but I do hope we'll have more "adult noir" in the coming weeks.

Yes, Shadow on the Wall was written in 1943. And after the success of "The Window" (1949), MGM rushed "Shadow on the Wall" into production (1950).
