Re: "SABRINA" AUDREY HEPBURN SUNDAY 8:00 P.M. EASTERN TCM

Also,

I love the original as well and don’t care for the remake. I like Bogart in this role but I admit to loving Bogart in general. The age difference does not bother me, perhaps I relate because there is an age difference between me and my DH.

My late husband and I were nine years apart.  He was a perfect match for me, unlike my first husband who was only one year older.

After dealing with that abusive, immature personality, I gravitated toward older men.

I agree with you @Oznell , Bogart was totally miscast in this movie, and he was on the dour side. I didn't think there was any chemistry at all between Bogart and Audrey, unlike Wm Holden and Audrey who were so cute together.

"The Heiress" is one of my favorites. The casting was perfect - Olivia DeHavilland derserved the Oscar she won for that performance. No one could have played her father better than Ralph Richardson. Montgomery Cliff gave a convincing performance as her deceitful suitor. Really good, but sad movie overall.

Oh, yes, thanks for reminding us of Ralph Richardson, in a brilliant, austere performance as the "withholding" father, @cimeranrose!

I am watching Sabrina, right now.  Audrey He[burn is sooooooooooo lovely!  I adored her.  Her clothes by Givenchy are divine but then she would look good wearing a paper bag.  Loved her in Breakfast at Tiffany;s, Wait Until Dark, My Fair lady, Robin & Marian and my favorite, Charade, Two for the Road.  Oh well, I could go on and on.  A very special lady!
