I read the book at a very young age, but was mesmerized by the story.  I didn’t know about things like obsession.  I’m not sure if I ever saw the movie . . . Perhaps I’ve seen scenes from it.  They couldn’t have picked better actors to depict these very intense characters.

 

I don’t think I have this channel, but I will look for it.

 

ETA: No, I don’t have TCM.  Too bad for me, I was going to watch it.

One of my Favorite books by a fabulous author,  who is probably not read much today

 

it's worth a read 

 

never saw the movie , as I didn't care for B Davis as that character

I never really realized how completely cruel that speech by Bette D. was until I saw the dialogue WRITTEN. She really was a monster in that scene! Thank you for taking the time to post that dialogue.
