I keep forgetting to put this up for movie buffs, or anyone interested in quick, cross-referenced info. on interesting people.  It's the Notable Names Database.  Once you're there, you can find birth dates, marriages, real names, awards received etc. etc.

Will start you off with Bette Davis.  Of course, if you're a Davisophile, you already know that her birth name was Ruth Elizabeth, and that she died in France.

My favorite part is the little engine on the side of each profile, that lists the "associates" of the person discussed.  So, with Bette, you can portage over to her colleagues George Brent and Olivia de Havilland.  One name leads to another, and another, and if you're up with insomnia or a bad cold, it's a soothing and instructive little activity, ha.

Wow this site is the best. Tried a few names. Actress Corrine Calvet’s father invented Pyrex. Just a wealth of information. I know I will enjoy this site.
