Beautiful stills, @Johnnyeager!   I had exactly the same thoughts about that mirror scene, just prior to that feverish waltz.  The art direction (kudos Cedric Gibbons) of that whole scene, the way that Van Heflin's crashing into the tray and breaking bottles, echoes the reckless, decadent smashing of the windows, so that Emma can "breathe"--  Vincente Minelli at his best.
