Wonder if they're airing this because it's so hot right now, and these poor guys were broiling in the jury room. We can really "get into" it, ha.

3:30 p.m. Eastern--  "12 Angry Men"   Henry Fonda, Jack Warden, Lee J. Cobb, Martin Balsam, E.G. Marshall, Ed Begley, Jack Klugman, Robert Webber

Beloved court drama, claustrophobically set in a jury room in the middle of a scorching New York summer.   Classic, age-old conflict over guilt, innocence, justice.  Henry Fonda is the jury holdout for the defendant, trying to persuade the others. 

For me the pull of this is not the plot, so much, as this ensemble of top flight journeyman actors doing a splendid job.  My favorites as always are (unsung) Jack Warden, Martin Balsam, Lee J. Cobb.

Stay cool, stay inside, and sip your iced tea while these men swelter and struggle!

Saw this film as a trainee in the mid-60’s in a management development program for a major corporation.  The discussion centered on leadership and how to resolve conflict.   It was very powerful on several levels, as were the discussions afterwards.  Made a lasting impression !

The talent of those actors...what an assembly !!!!!!

Can someone clue me in on how this movie ended?  I dozed off (as usual at that time of day) about 20 minutes before it ended.

Lee J Cobb is one of my favorite actors.  He's so crabby!!  lol

It is often the case in present day that people are judged and convicted even before a trial (if any) begins.

Simply said, 12 Angry Men is an excellent film in many ways and keeps your interest throughout !  A movie classic with a cast to match!
