jennifer gray is going to play gwen shamblin from the christian diet on lifetime feb 4 8pm   I had that book a million years ago.  I just saw gwen shamblin died in 2021 she was 66.     I never saw the show on hbo but I will look for it.

@lovescats @What is the name of the show on HBO that you referenced? I'd like to watch that....The new one with Jennifer Gray should be really good! I like her as an actor and the story is interesting!

Thanks...I wanted to set that on my DVR.

When my girls were in elementary school one of the moms was telling us about this religious diet she was doing.  She had Bible verses on her fridge and when she would go to open it to grab a snack she would read the Bible verses instead.  Or if she was hungry she would pray instead.  That kind of thing  That was the gist...I am trying to remember it all now.  We all just kind of laughed at her, as she did at herself for doing it ... I am guessing this is what the diet was.   I should add she never needed to lose weight in the first place and I don't think she lasted too long on this diet plan.

I remember her, even had bought her book at the time.  Seen now, the ?Netflix show on her and family, and church there, etc.  She really went off the deep end.
