The movie with John Cuscak which has the kind of ending where it leaves you with "Oh! My Goodness!  Didn't see that coming!"  It's called 1480.

Without a doubt, it has to be Schindler's List.  Second would have to be Saving Private Ryan.

My parents were close friends with a special couple.  I always thought both of them survived the concentration camps.  It was only after Schindler's List came out that I learned, he was on THE LIST.  This dear man lived to be 90.

I would say Charly (the movie adaptation of Flowers for Algernon.  I was very young when I read and then saw this and it is very profound, especially for its time.

Also, Sybil.  Sally Field and JoAnne Woodward were out of the park in their performances

Finally, although the book was WAY better, the Stand, by Stephen King.

 

I rarely watch any war or intense dramas, so these are my favs
