So many characters come and go and last night's episode when the new Head Dr. fired the doctor who blanked out or whatever seemed so staged to me. It was just a way to get rid of another character to make room for a new one
I have only been watching for about 2 years but I'm about ready to give up.

I've never worked in a hospital, but I know that just about any workplace that is such a high-stress environment has a fairly large turnover of personnel.

People will come and go for all sorts of reasons.

Me too, reminded me very much of the old ER episode from 1995 where a woman died in childbirth from Eclampsia, she was Dr Greene's patient.

@CANDLEQUEEN I really hoped down to the last second they would get a heartbeat. Very sad for sure.

I'm hoping it improves soon, but I'm not liking Chicago Med as much as I have in past years.

So, are we supposed to be warming up a little to the new female doc. She was a bit better last night. Wonder what happened to the woman that Dr Archer was seeing last season ?

@Shelbelle

She fired Asher's son Shawn because he had a very different attitude/approach to the treatment of the addicts at the center from her approach.  Asher was really upset with her because he is worried about what effect this could have on Shawn's sobriety. So they are not seeing each other at this point.
