Passed away - she had just turned 80.  I remember her in Where the Boys Are, and Light in the Piazza.  Also in Dr. Kildare where she played a surfer.  R.I.P.

She was also in The Time Machine which I liked and just watched again recently. She really wasn't much of an actress but really pretty and I always liked her.

I'm sorry to hear that, @twinsister .   She always had such an interestingly ethereal, sort of dreamy quality as a performer--  not quite of this world.  She also was a talented writer.  RIP.

I loved her in the movie Where the Boys Are. I always thought she was so beautiful and in a way that was totally unique.

I can't imagine her old. I'll always remember her young. She'd have liked that.

Where the Boys Are. Don't get me started. My friends and I were there right before the movie came out. We hung out at the Elbo Room, lol. And Connie Francis singing that song gives me chills every time I hear it. Every time I just hear the intro, I drop what I'm doing and sing along. Those were the days!!!

In Dr, Kildare the Beach Boys sang "Surfer Girl".

Rest in Peace.  Yvette made her mark in quite a few movies  She always played that innocent girl role.  She did have that innocent look and was pretty.

Re: Yvette Mimieux

@Judaline - If you Google her, there is a fairly recent picture.  She was still attractive, but didn't look like she had any work done.

Connie Francis was the perfect one to  sing that song - love it!  She is still alive, along with the other two actresses - Paula Prentiss and Dolores Hart.

Edited to add -There is a video on YouTube of Yvette skydiving in January 2021.  She looks fantastic!
