📺 YouTube TV members 📺

I have the basic plan.  How do you get to view HBO & Cinemax?  Do they magically appear in your Live TV grid?  I have the custom grid & do not see how to add HBO & Cinemax w/o paying for them.

The instructions are not clear........

"This free preview of HBO Max and Cinemax is only open to valid YouTube TV members in the United States. YouTube TV members do not need to take action in order to watch the HBO Max and Cinemax free preview. The free preview will be automatically activated on November 22, 2022, and is valid through November 29, 2022. Once the free preview ends, YouTube TV members will no longer have access to HBO Max and/or Cinemax and will need to add HBO Max and/or Cinemax to their membership to continue watching."

Activated where, tv grid?

EDIT:  Forgot to state, I also posted the above in the YTTV forums right before I posted here.  Trying to kill 2 birds w/1 stone. Smiley Tongue  If I get a reply, will post it in this thread.

@Mz iMac    Looks to me like you have to wait until 11/22 and then it will magically appear.  We're not there yet.

Re: 📺 YouTube TV members 📺

@Mz iMac - It sounds like it will just appear in your tv listings (channel guide).

I have a question, if you don't mind, since you have YouTube TV.  Are you happy with it?

We currently have FuboTV and we're looking at changing to YouTube.

The Fubo app crashes way too often for our liking and it's a pain to have to keep switching it off or logging back in.  I was even watching the tv the other night and it suddenly made me log back in - while I was watching it!  I could hear the program in the background, but couldn't see it.  I told DH enough was enough.

We have excellent internet and none of our other streaming services do that.

@Venezia   I am very happy w/YouTube TV.  Never a problem w/its app.  Very stable.  I strongly recommend just for the UNLIMITED storage to store your movies, tv series, etc. FOREVER!!!!!

@Kachina624  Thank you!

@Mz iMac - Thank you.  I'm going to look into switching when our current month with Fubo runs out.  It's good to know you're happy with it.

@Venezia    I also have had YouTube TV for a couple of years and have had no trouble with it.  I've tried other service, not all, and so far its the best.

@Mz iMac if I read this information correctly, recordings stay in your library for 9 months...not forever...

Re: 📺 YouTube TV members 📺

@Kachina624 - Thank you.  A guy at our local UPS office recommended it a while ago and I'd been thinking about it.  But you know what it's like - having to change and start all over again, with the things I have set up to record and getting used to a new system.  (Like when we dropped cable.)

But DH and I were discussing it last night and agreed that the constant crashing of Fubo has gotten beyond a joke.  YouTube is also cheaper.  Not a lot, but enough for us to make the switch.

I just have to check my renewal date for Fubo, as I'm not sure they do a pro rata refund.  And I'll sign up for the free trial of YouTube in the meantime.
