I didn't like the first couple of episodes but decided to hang in there. I found the last scene with Sheldon and his dad so sweet and touching, I actually teared up.

Those genius children have hearts and feelings just like the rest of them.  They just don't have the social skills of most.

Sheldons father actually died a few years later.

This show still rocks.the greatest bunch of a cast a show could have.

I've enjoyed watching Georgie grow up and change a bit. I think basically he's a sweet kid and has fun with MeeMaw.

 I've watched this show from the beginning, but never watched BBT.

Over time, I have found Missy to be my favorite character ... she's a HOOT.

I would expect Sheldon to go thru a major growth spurt any day now .... and it'll be interesting to see what the writers do with that.

BTW ........   Sheldon's mom played a really dark character in Scandal  .... an assassin, as I recall.   I couldn't believe it was the same actress playing an ordinary mom in this show!  LOL

Wow, I had no idea!  Everyone on Young Sheldon just seems so perfectly cast.  And then, of course, the writing is great too.

Over the years of TBBT, Sheldon has mentioned things about his childhood, parents, sibs, etc, and the death of his father.
