Y & R Question - Poss Spoiler

Something just poped into my head - maybe someone has previously brought this up but could the Congressman & this woman who died possibly have been having an affair & he's the one who killed her & the dad just found her as he's saying? He's so intent in keeping this guy in jail - I was just wondering. What do you all think?
