Summary for Tuesday, August 7th from soaps.com:
Ashley arrives at Neilโs place to give him a hug - she canโt imagine what his familyโs going through having lost Hilary. Neil admits itโs gotten worse and fills her in on the circumstances surrounding Hilaryโs death. They discuss Lily possibly having to turn herself into the police. Ashley acknowledges this could have enormous ramifications for the family and their business. Neil is touched she came by. They kiss as she leaves.
At home in bed, Cane and Lily debate her plan to turn herself in. Lily is irritated when he suggests she hasnโt thought this through. Cane insists the best thing for their family is for her to say nothing. Lily feels the longer she waits, the worse it will be. Hilary is dead because of her; Cane can come with her or not โ either way sheโs turning herself in.
At Jabot, Michael and Lauren make plans for lunch. Jack arrives and Lauren complains about Billyโs plan to close Fenmoreโs under-performing shops. Jack sighs about Billyโs lack of boundaries. Lauren rants that itโs the Wild West since Billy took over and notes heโs late getting in. Jack admits he came to check on Phyllis. Lauren snarks that she and Billy are back together. Jack canโt imagine why sheโd take him back. Ashley arrives, and Jack carries on about Billy not supporting Phyllis through Hilaryโs death. Ash points out Phyllis is madly in love with Billy. Jack grimaces; heโll only hurt her again. After, Michael cancels lunch with Lauren to meet Lily. Meanwhile, Jack updates an unsurprised Ashley that Billyโs gambling again. They speculate about the yacht, which prompts Ashley to go check with accounting about how Billyโs using company funds.
At home, Billy and Phyllis are happy after their night together. She suggests dumping coffee for mimosas, but Billy kisses her instead. They talk about playing hooky, but Billy has to complete his secret project before Ashley gets back.
Summer joins Kyle at the Dive Bar. He mocks her for looking to have a fling with her motherโs boyfriend, and snaps that Billyโs taken. Summer likes no strings, and grills Kyle about the manโs clothing he saw at the apartment. Kyle keeps mum. Summer decides sheโll check her motherโs phone to see who sheโs talked to and runs off.
Down at Hamilton-Winters, Lily tells Mattie, Charlie, and Neil that sheโs going to the police today. Neil and Charlie are opposed, but Mattieโs proud of her. Lily wants Devon to forgive her. She doesnโt know what the charges will be, but has hired Michael. Neil learns Cane doesnโt agree. Cane appears; he doesnโt agree but will be by her side. Later, Michael arrives, and tells Lily her account matches the truck driverโs statement, and advises he asked Paul to meet them there. He warns Lily to keep her answers simple. Paul arrives and Michael asks Cane to leave. Paul turns on his recorder and Lily reveals she has new information โ she ran the red light and is the reason Hilaryโs dead. Michael interrupts to speak with his client. Paul replies, โI think youโd better.โ They continue, and Lily refers to Hilary losing the baby. Michael cuts her off again. Paulโs upset Lily didnโt come to them right away. After, Lily asks Cane to hold her. Paul returns after talking to Christine, who will decide how to proceed. Paul goes, and Michael hollers at Lily for blurting confessions repeatedly on tape. Lilyโs stunned to hear she could be charged with two counts of vehicular homicide and get up to twenty years in the state penitentiary.
Summer arrives at her apartment and takes a screenshot of Phyllisโ phoneโs call list before leaving again.
At the Club, Summer joins Jack at the bar. After revealing Phyllis and Billy are back together, she tells Jack he was the best man for her mother. Jack admits heโs not over her and never stopped loving her. He thought Phyllis was giving him signals before she took Billy back. Summer urges him not to give up.
Up at the Dive Bar, Phyllis and Lauren discuss Billyโs plans. Lauren would like to get out of the partnership. She thanks Phyllis for the company, and reveals Michaelโs with Lily, who is turning herself in. Phyllis is glad sheโs doing the right thingโฆor she would have gone herself. Later, Jack confronts Phyllis about getting back together with Billy. She explains his brother excites her.
At Jabot, Ashley and Kyle discuss Billy being out of control. Billy appears, and is irked Ashleyโs back. Kyle exits, and Ash wants Billy to tell her what heโs been up to. They move into the office, where she confronts him about the financials and his gambling. Billy informs her she canโt stop his project; itโs too far along. Ash surmises itโs a risky prospect. Billy expects her trust.
Kyle meets Summer at Crimson Lights, where she reveals she believes Jack is the man Phyllis hooked-up with at the apartment.

Just who exactly is the new guest at Neilโs place? Is the new Doctor related to Neil or what?
โ08-06-2018 05:53 PM
@Nicecupoftea
The doctor is in! Brooks Darnell is joining the cast of THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS in the role of Dr. Nate Hastings, Jr.! The character is the son of Nathan Hastings and Olivia Winters, born back in 1995. After a series of child actors, the character was aged to an adult and played by Walter Fauntleroy in 2011, which was the last time viewers saw him.
The new Nate, Darnell, may be familiar to TV viewers from his role as Charlie Cooper on Freeformโs supernatural drama SHADOWHUNTERS. He has also made appearances in primetime series like BONES and NIKITA as well as films like Total Recall. According to his IMDb biography, Darnell put off his interest in acting to continue his education as a pre-med student on a football scholarship. But after being sidelined due to an injury, Darnell signed with BMG Models in Chicago and studied acting.
Nate was involved with drama right from the moment he was conceived. Olivia was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, but refused to abort her baby to save her own life, and in 1992, Nate Jr. was delivered early but healthy. However, after Nathan cheated on her with a woman who could have exposed them all to HIV, she threw him out of the house. They all tested negative, but Nate was so desperate to see his boy that he kidnapped Nate! After several weeks on the run, Nathan returned his son to Olivia, but was killed in a hit-and-run shortly thereafter.
As Nate grew up, he grew very fond of his new father, Malcolm, and was upset when Olivia broke things off with him and turned to his brother, Neil. Malcolm was further upset when Olivia changed her will so Neil would raise Nate if anything happened to her. After Malcolm was presumed dead, Nate finally grew closer to Neil, but since he was drowning his sorrows over his brother in alcohol, Olivia tried to keep her son away from him as well.
Nate eventually went off to boarding school and in 2008, Olivia mentioned he was now in medical school. Then, in 2011, Nate resurfaced in Genoa City as Ronan Malloyโs specialist, treating his liver ailment. He reconnected with his family, including Neil, Malcolm, and his cousins, Lily and Devon, but that was the extent of it.
Darnell made his debut in the July 3 episode and is the doctor secretly treating Victor Newman. But what other drama will he get mixed up in this time around? You'll have to stay tuned to find out! And for more Y&R casting news, keep reading the CBS edition of Soaps In Depth magazine!

Sorry, but he should've studied harder... and longer... He's awful...
I watch Shadow Hunters and vaguely remember a couple of more or less 'walk on's' that might have been him, but no real part for this guy... As far as I'm concerned, this is another casting faux pas...

Being the supermodel she is... Lil should be able to rock those stripes...

Anybody else about at the point of thinking Billy and Summer deserve each other... The little s-lut should be sufficiently shocked when she learns momma actually hooked up with daddy and not 'uncle' Jack... PLEASE, I so do NOT want Phyllis back with boring Jacky boy... He needs to re-up with Gloria... At least the two of them were good entertainment when they were together...

Was wondering if anyone else noticed this today....i even rewound it on my DVR just to take a another look at the scene......but the scene where Phyllis and Niki were in the office talking about the whole JT situation............Niki picked up the phone to call security....Phyllis put the phone down and stopped her ...THEN Niki proceeded to tell Phyllis that if they were ever caught she would def say it was her and only her who killed JT and she would do anything for her daughter, etc....at the end of that conversation Victor walked in....then Phyllis left....then he advised Niki if Phyllis bothers her again she should "call security and not hang up next time"............he could have only known that she started to call and then hung up if he was listening...and then he must have heard Niki confess the killing to Phyllis...

@kelsey17 No, his security staff informed him that Nikki called and then there was a hang up. Victor saw Phyllis in the office when he walked in and, knowing how Phyllis operates, pute two and two together.

Summary for Wednesday, August 8th from soaps.com:
At home, Phyllis asks Billy to play hooky, but Billy reveals itโs a big day at Jabot. He still wonโt give her a hint and teases there must be one or two secrets sheโs keeping from him.
At Crimson Lights, Lily and Cane worry about what will happen to her. She hopes her confession gives Devon closure. Sharon approaches and assures Lily that sheโs brave to tell the truth. Later, Phyllis is there with Nick and informs him Laurenโs running late. She updates him that sheโs reconciled with Billy. Heโs happy for her. Lauren appears, ready to give her pitch, but Nick has changed his mind about investing in Fenmoreโs โ he wants to stick with real estate. Lauren asks him to let her know if anything changes โ sheโs more determined than ever to extricate Fenmoreโs from Jabot. Nick joins Sharon and shows her a house listing. Sharon likes their house. Nick wonโt give up.
At Hamilton-Winters Group, Devon confides in Neil that he dreamed about Hilary and woke up believing she was still alive - in that brief moment everything was alright. Neil nods knowingly and advises him to keep living for Hilary and their child. Lily arrives and updates Devon that she told Paul everything. Neil asks if she knows about the legal repercussions yet. Lily just wants to know what Devon thinks. Devon maintains she should have gone to the police immediately. Neil tries to convince Devon to take a step back and reminds him of his own car wreck. Lily reveals sheโs facing twenty years in prison. Neil flips out. Lily asks how long it will take in jail for Devon to forgive her. He notes Hilary and his child are dead forever. Neil decides the personal issues need to be left outside the office door. They discuss GC Buzz. Lily says the popularity was based on Hilary and Mariahโs banter. Neil wants to find someone to partner with Mariah. Devon agrees. Lily wants to help, and Devon accuses her of angling for Hilaryโs position and wonders how low she can sink. Lily clarifies she doesnโt want the co-host job. Devon doesnโt want her involved with GC Buzzโฆor Hamilton-Winters. โYouโre fired.โ
At Jabot, Ashley tells Kyle sheโs more convinced than ever theyโre going to regret whatever it is Billyโs done with the R&D money. They whisper about getting Traci involved, and Kyle surprises her by suggesting that Phyllis may not side with Lauren, not Billy. Billy arrives and Ashley and Kyle head off. At the elevator they meet Phyllis and Lauren, and Ashley asks them to talk elsewhere.
In the Club dining room, Victor complains to Nikki about not getting to see Christian. She advises him to speak to Nick honestly. Nearby, Kyle, Lauren, Phyllis, and Ashley discuss what Billy might be up to. Ashley asks Lauren not to act hastily and alludes to things changing. Phyllis has no issue with Billy as CEO. Lauren reminds her of her loyalties. Summer walks in, sees them, and calls Billy to report the meeting. Billy decides heโll summon them to the office. Later, Nick runs into Victor, who says despite the acrimony between them, as his son, he loves him. Nick says he uses their love to manipulate them; that he wonโt tolerate. Victor has gathered enough ammunition to destroy him as insurance โ heโll never forget he ratted him out to the Feds.
Nikki arrives at Sharonโs place. Lilyโs confession has Sharon feeling guilty about JT. Nikki wants her help negotiating peace between Nick and Victor. Sharon replies, โNo.โ Nikki presses her โ Victor needs to see Christian. Sharon says itโs always about them, and refuses to do it. They bicker. Nikki accuses Sharon of being out to get Victor. Sharon points out he used her mental health against her and wouldnโt mind him out of her life. Nikki counters if they make peace, no one will have to move off the ranch. Sharon is proud of Nick wanting to be his own man. Nikki canโt believe sheโd leave the house she loves to please Nick, then suddenly grimaces in pain, and rubs her hands. Sharon fusses about all the stress sheโs carrying. Nikki admits if she had it to do over, she'd stil hit JT, but sheโd have called the police because it was self-defense โ the guilt of the secret is eating her up.
At Jabot, Billy proudly announces his secret venture โ Jabotique. Lauren glares, and asks, โYou canโt be serious.โ Billy already has commitments for boutiques in 30 cities which should be open by Christmas. Ashley is upset he did this without consulting with her or the board. Opening these shops will cost a fortune. Billy defends his move. Phyllis thinks heโs done his homework. Ashley maintains that thirty stores is too many and sheโll work to get out of the leases. Billy is the CEO and informs them this is happening. Outside, Ashley tells Kyle itโs going to be harder to get rid of him than they thought.
