@SeaMaiden

I saw the film and it is not a remake, not at all, this movie is shown in the perspective of the 11 year old boy. The stories are similar but that is all

How is this just not a remake of the  movie. MASK  WITH Cher  playing a Mother with a Son with a Facial deformity? Same storyline...changed up a bit but not much.  I am tired of remakes of classics.

@SeaMaiden  I never saw Mask, though I do remember it. Totally agree with you about there being too many remakes of classics, and they usually stink. However I did like the story I saw on 20/20, though I probably won't see the movie until it comes on dvd or cable beacause I don't go to movie theaters. Since there is so much bullying, cyber bullying etc. perhaps it will speak to someone. Also, it's nice to see something uplifting out there for a change.
