Re: Will you be watching the 9-11 Coverage

[ Edited ]

I plan on walking to Engine 54, Ladder 4, Battalion 9 on 8th Ave and 48th St. to pay respect.

This House lost the most men on 9/11.

Each of the 15 firefighters on duty that morning perished.

Always Remember.   Never Forget!

Can't take anymore sadness at this point.  But not watching, doesn't mean not remembering.  This is one event in horrible history, I'll never forget.

Important for me watching, reflecting, and remembering. The lives lost. The lives who survived, and forever changed. First responders, God bless, These heroes. Praying, Never forget. 💗🙏

No..I lived in Queens NY back then..it was a living nighmare...and smell  and sight of the smoke..Lost a lot of people I knew who worked in the towers.

My kids were young..Ironically..my one son worked building the new tower.

I didn't intend to watch as stated in the above post..I have already today explained to DH who has dementia..that it was not happening now..I'm sure I will have to tell him more times today.. He doesn't remember any of it..

I will never forget any of it..

The History Channel is now showing Days that Shaped America about 9/11.

No.  My son worked at the Trade Towers.  We decided a long time ago to celebrate the life he has today and not look back at that awful tragedy.  I still cry for those who lost loved ones.  I don't need to watch to remember.  I'll never forget.

Right now I am watching National Geographic channel Inside 9/11:Zero Hour.   There is a man on there named Louis Lesce and his face is burned.   Did he suffer this horrible injury on 9/11?   I can't find anything about him online.

As horrible as it was to watch on television, I can only imagine what it was like for those that actually had to live this nightmare.

I watched again this year. Each year, I am struck by the magnitude of what happened and the pure hatred and evil that resides in some humans. I am also awestruck by the bravery displayed by the community services workers. Both that day in attempting to rescue the innocents trapped, and also in the days afterwards. Amazing firefighters and police. I need to watch, remember and pay homage to those poor souls.
