Took the grands to see the movie.

where have I been? This movie had the best special effects, costuming and music that I have ever seen

There are some topics presented that I think are good for kids...in order to enlighten them.

One of those topics has to do with Arianna Grande's use of manipulation to get people to do her bidding!

Cynthia Erivo who plays the green witch is just fabulous!

And I never realized what a beautifully trained voice A. Grande has.

My grands don't think about the "trinkets" movies often promote. I’m glad about this!

My friend and I were going to go, just to see Cynthia Erivo, because I love her singing.  Especially when she does Opera, beautiful voice.

We didn't go when we learned it is three hours long.

We are in late 80's and cannot sit for that long with back and other joint problems.  I heard it was a good movie.

I am one of the few who didnt care for it when I saw the show, so very easy to pass on the movie.

I enjoyed the costumes and scenery, and good acting but the music was just fair, and the story was quite difficult to follow.  Also to me it seemed like too many strange characters who I had no interest in.

I was totally enthralled. The music and voices were fantastic. I had seen a touring version of Wicked many years ago and knew that it would not be like the 1939 movie. The second part of Wicked will be out next November and I can't wait.

@qvcaddition :

Currently, you can rent it online (Prime Video and elsewhere) or buy the digital copy.

But I've also read that it will likely be available on Peacock TV in February or March.

For some reason although I love the original 1939 Wizard of Oz and have seen it many times, I have no interest in seeing either the play or the movie.  The 3 hour length may be a factor!!!

@kaydee50  About 30 minutes of commercials/previews prior to start of movie.

I haven't seen the movie but was fortunate to have seen it at the Orpheum when it was touring.
