Who's Watching the Met Gala? On E channel@

OMG!  I forgot it was on!  Love it all!  Theme this year is "Camp".  That's not outdoor!  Ha!

Beads weight 22 lbs.  Love it!  Tables cost upward of $300,000!

Ok, first thoughts.  I thought this was supposed to be about a camping theme but I think more than a few folks didn't read the invite all the way through and secondly nothing like a little chick bumper cars on those stairs.  Yikes some of the looks being thrown when someone steps into their shot, hee!

I know some people don't like to go to other websites or maybe aren't sure how so I hope those who know how don't mind that I'm posting the pictures.

I want everyone to be able to enjoy seeing just a few of the fun and outlandish outfits.  Soooooo much fun!  Gotta love it!  I do!

Here's the explanation of the word Camp as Anna Winter wanted when she decided the theme would be "CAMP"

Camp” is an elusive, often subjective concept that has baffled scholars for decades. It can define a broad spectrum of cultural phenomena, as easily applied to Judy Garland as it is to Nicki Minaj, Gregg Araki, and RuPaul’s Drag Race. Literally defined, it means a “deliberately exaggerated and theatrical behavior or style.” Something extra. It’s as much of a sensibility as it is an aesthetic, and was first academically defined for the culture by Susan Sontag’s groundbreaking essay “Notes on Camp” in 1964, which ascribed no less than 58 defining characteristics to the term.

@momtochloe I remember way, way back on American Idol when Ryan introduced 'The Lady' and she was wearing those weird shoes....

I remember thinking, "Honey!  I hope you don't hurt yourself".

That was before anyone knew who she was.  I've seen so many interviews she's done.  She is so sincere and sweet in interviews and shows her vulnerability.  I absolutely love it!

But then I do like strange and different.  Ha!

My girls just shake their heads and say, "That's our mom"!
