But almost all the people mentioned are not journalists.  They were once and worked their way up and now they're commentators.  World of difference.  

Real journalism is happening in print media now.  So I'm going to choose a hard-working current but old-fashioned shoe leather print journalist:

Pulitzer Prize winning David Farenthold of The Washington Post who does such outstanding and meticulous reporting.  He may not have tv looks but smart and best-at-what-you-do can be sexy too.
