I'm 71 and watched this show faithfully and had the record of all the songs. A favorite was "Pookie the Toreador".
"No bull is a match for Pookie
Tho I must admit that it is spooky for a lion who can't even roar
To be a toreador!"
We just loved Pookie. Good memories.

Yes, I remember that show, loved it. Looking back, it was really a goofy show, you had to be a kid to enjoy it. Soupy Sales, give me a break.LOL

Several months ago I watched the Soupy Sales Show. It was on a retro TV station. It was crazy to watch. Seems like much of the show was ab libbed.
I can't seem to find the station that was showing the Show.

I am 64 and although I remember faintly who he was, I have no recollection of the show.
Just today though I had a memory of Shari Lewis Show and her lamb puppet. Never hear anything about her. She died young at age 65 of cancer.

I remember Soupy (and Black Fang and White Paw). He came on in D.C. in 1959.

I am 65 and fondly remember Soupy Sales, White Fang, Black Tooth and Pookie. Soupy always got hit with those whipped cream pies.
I remember being very upset when the show was cancelled. There wasn't much on TV back then.
I remember Shari Lewis and Lamb Chop. I loved her long pony tail and wished my hair could be like hers.

I loved watching the Soupy Sales show! I do remember all the characters and Pookie was so funny!
Awhile ago one of the TV stations ran the old shows, they were still as funny and enjoyable as when I first watched them.

I think some of those shows were only shown locally. I have never heard of them...
We had some local TV shows too. I was on TV when I was six. The show was Aunt Mary's Birthday Party. My cousin had a sponsored birthday party on TV. I was there with five boys...all my cousins. I was the only girl.
Everyone got a gift to bring home. My gift was a cloth doll that came with a pen for people to write on. I collected signatures on her blue skirt. I wonder what happened to her.
