Whitney Houston biopic on Lifetime

It's on tonight at 8:00 p.m. EST followed by an interview with Bobby Brown. Anyone plan to watch?

Husband and I just discussed this. I don't think we want to see the fall of Whitney. I like remembering her as beautiful, sweet and a fabulous singer. Just my preference. It's so sad the way things turned out for her.

I don't think I want to see it. The music would be amazing (as was her voice). However, it would get depressing about 20 minutes into it.

I actually saw quite a few episodes of their reality show. It was sad. Like I guess what watching a train wreck would be like.

No reason to waste my time watching something we all know about. Yet another talented entertainer ruin their life with violence and drugs.

Tried to watch, lost interest. She had a beautiful voice. What a mess she became.

I watched it and got an entirely different take on Bobby Brown. The media made him out to be the bad boy. On the tv movie about her life, he wasn't such a bad guy. It wasn't a very good portrayal of Whitney. Mostly showed her snorting cocaine all the time but not much else as far as her life. I was hoping that they would start at her very beginning and tell more of her off the stage life. It was ok but not whatI expected.

I didn't think the movie was very good. I'm not sure what all is or isn't true, since I wasn't there, but it was definitely a different POV than we're used to seeing.

I also watched the Bobby Brown interview that aired after the movie. I'm not sure what to think. He doesn't seem like all that much a bad guy, as he was always portrayed. I don't know enough about him to be able to judge either way, though.

Bottom line, for me, was that (and as much as I love Angela Bassett!!) it was just not a very good movie at all.

At times it seemed like it was the Bobby Brown story. Just when I thought it was starting to get good, it ended. I thought it was odd to end it where they did.
